In Closed Beta at the moment, Cities XL.

Volgens de makers is te vergelijken met het welbekende SimCity, alleen dan massive multiplayer online. Als fan van Simcity ga ik deze zekerrrr proberen!

Hopen dat er nog een key ergens vandaan valt te halen anders nog even wachten tot 3 september als we wikipedia mogen geloven.

Tomorrow at 7pm GMT Beta registrations will be closed. Which means you still have a day to register at jointhebeta.citiesxl.com if you haven’t done so already.
You probably understood it by now: the Cities XL Beta will soon be upon us... Stay tuned as we will get more into the details of it in the upcoming days (including some tricks to get into it).

Via de site Shattered Crystal werd ik (gister) op de hoogte gebracht van deze Closed beta. Volgens mij kun je ook zonder account gewoon opt-in doen voor de notificatie wanneer zij de keys ontvangen. Ze schrijven dat zij de keys ongeveer de 17de ontvangen.

It's yet another great thing about being a Shattered Crystal customer. We are being provided with a limited number of beta invite codes for testing the new MMO Cities XL. Cities XL is something like Sim City but it's massive multiplayer. Some of the interesting points of this game are:
*Create interconnected cities on persistents planet, populate a world
*Trade with each others in a global economy and specialize their cities
*Visit each other creation, customize their avatar, chat, create their blog and social network
*Participate in events and competitions
As I mentioned. We have only a limited number of these beta invite codes. We already know that we will not have enough for everyone who will want one. So here is how we will be giving them out.

*Go to our "Free Items" category: http://www.shatteredcrystal.com/index.php/free_items
*Look for the "Cities XL Beta invite codes" item.
*Click on the "Coming Soon" link or graphic.
*Give it your email address to be altered as soon as the codes are added to the item.
*Confirm the alert. The system will send you an email to confirm.

Current expectation is that we will be stocking the codes around Wednesday June 17th. That date is not set in stone so it could be altered a bit.
